Welcome to the NEF “Fundraiser” Committee. This committee works hand in hand with the NEF Liaison for Region 8. Our goal is earn funds for NEF throughout the year. Our events each year in our Region will be held in the fall for Annual Planning Conference (APC) and in the spring for Forum. This committee will coordinate with the Regional Director and APC/Forum Coordinator to come up with a fun activity to go with the theme to help raise funds for NEF.

This is my first year as the Region 8 “Fun” Raiser….and you all know me….I like to have fun! So we will have some fun things to do this year to help raise money for NEF so have your cash ready at all events! We will help you get rid of it for a good cause.

Region 8 came in number 3 in overall money collected from APC and Forum last year. Of course Region 8 always comes in on top for selling tickets and other funds that we collect from “games”. Our ladder club donations were down and I encourage each of you to continue working on your levels and help to get this number higher in our Region.

Region 8 NEF Liaison, Sharon McGuinness, CCA, CIT. AFSB and I have been working together to come up with some fun ideas for you to hand over your hard earned cash. We promise to give you lots of chances to win great items. I will have tickets to sell for a chance to win the big prizes at the 2010 Annual Meeting & Convention which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky. This year we will have a drawing from the purchased tickets, both at APC and Forum, for a special prize for tickets purchased at each conference. The purchase price of these tickets will not count towards your ladder club and are not tax deductible but will go a long way in sponsoring the NEF programs.

You all know me and I like to have surprises!!! So we will have a few surprises and challenges for each of you in attendance at APC/Forum. We will also have some surprises for each chapter to help earn funds for NEF throughout the year. NEF would not be successful without your support and enthusiasm.
