The national co-chairs have a goal this year to promote teamwork and communication at all levels when it comes to membership recruitment and retention. Astonishing results are seen when ideas are combined and expressed through a team effort.

The national chairs will be holding quarterly conference calls with regional chairs leading the calls as assigned and determining the topics to be discussed. If you have something that you would like to have brought up, please let me know and I will share it with them and bring information back to you.

We should all be working on recruitment in our chapters and I would like to hear and be able to share some of your ideas that have worked to bring in prospects and obtain new members.

If you have members that have not renewed, please give them a call to find out why and see if there is something that may need to be improved. We know that some will not be able to renew due to the economic conditions but do encourage them to attend and participate in your meetings and events as a guest. Keep them interested.

Also, here are a couple of tips and techniques to help members gain support from their employers
that you can pass on:

• Bring your employer to a meeting and introduce them to NAWIC and show them the value of your NAWIC membership
• Show enthusiasm after attending a meeting (local, regional, national) and let them know what you learned from the speaker or programs.

REMEMBER – EVERY MEMBER IS A MEMBER OF THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE!
